It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vernon Gary Murphy (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Murphy and Rose Murphy (Williams); and his siblings, Harry (late Lynne), Bryan, Robert and Marie (Ron).

He is survived by: his siblings, Joanne (late Brian), John (Mary) and Patricia (Matthew); and his nieces and nephews, Christine (Rob), Craig (Jaime), Paul (Julie), Lisa (Trevor), Jeff (Anya), Kate (Jose), David (Christine), Patrick, Ken, Catharine, Marika (Chris) and Luke.

A service and internment will take place in the future when COVID restrictions are lessened.

Donations in memory of Vernon may be made to Hospice Peterborough.
