It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Malloy (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Malloy and Jean Malloy; and his brothers, Norman (Sharon), Gerard and Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Malloy; his children, Janet Malloy, Judy Bozec (Michael), Janine Burke (David), Peter Malloy (Jane) and Julie Steckley (Kent); his grandchildren, Amy (Eric), Tyler (Christina), Ryan, Joshua (Tori), Tanner, Kurtis (Courtney), Tim (Meghan) and Mellissa (Kyle); his great grandchildren, James (Katie), Ava, Titan, Athena, Avery, Evelyn and Emery; and his siblings, Michael (Noreen), Barbara (late Brian), Mary Jo (late Mark), Betty (late Claire) and Patricia (late Barry).
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church (1830 Keene Rd, Otonabee-South Monaghan, ON K9J6X7). A burial was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at the Highland Park Cemetery, Highland Park Chapel (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J 1C5).
