He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Getz (Getz); his sister Margaret Tiessen; and his parents, Jacob and Anna (Enns). He is survived by: his children, Michael Wiens and Jennifer Wiens; his son-in-law Glen Farrelly; his granddaughter Nora Wiens Farrelly; and his siblings, Martha Wiens and Henry Wiens (Helen).
