He was predeceased by: his child Pamela Bissonette (Randy); his grandchild Cory; his parents, Thomas Ferguson and Lillie Ferguson; and his siblings, Viola, Bernice, Carlyle, Marie, Cecil, Irene and Doug.

He is survived by: his spouse Phyllis; his children, Penny Donaldson, Christopher Ferguson, Cindy Cuppy (Steve), Jeff Cruikshank (Claire) and Dean Cruikshank (Audrey); and his grandchildren, Shane, Samantha, Kayla, Kyle, Walker, Hailey, Tara, Tyler, Travis, Tory, Danielle, Matt, Chad, Chris and Troy. He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews.

It was Claire's wishes to have donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
