He is survived by: his spouse Sophia Verkruisen (Fia); his children, Martinus Verkruisen (Phyllis) of Peterborough and Richard Verkruisen (Debbie) of Pontypool; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Mason, Jade, Jessica and Chad; and his sibling Johannes Verkruisen (Hans) of Port Elgin.
