Joan Mary Shantz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Mary Shantz (Petersburg, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Snyder and Eva Snyder (Zimmerman); her husband Darcy Shantz; and her siblings-in-law, Glenn Shantz and Doris Shantz.
She is survived by: her children, Craig Shantz and Jane Shantz (Mounir El-Ayari); her grandchildren, Ava, Anson, Luke and Greta; her siblings, James (Lori Snyder) and Dianne Peters; and her sister-in-law Iona Shantz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM and at 1:45 PM at the Wilmot Centre Missionary Church (2463 Bleams Rd, Petersburg, ON N0B2H0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at the Union Cemetery (1275 Queen St, New Dundee, ON N0B2E0).
