She was predeceased by : her parents, Alma Holmes and Oscar Holmes; her brother Bill; her stepfather Charles Whipp; and her parents-in-law, Jean and Randolph Thomson.

She is survived by : her husband John; her son Bob (Amanda Wray); her granddaughter Nora; her sister-in-law Mary (Vince Quinn); and her niece Sara.
