He was predeceased by: his wife Alice; his sister Katherine (Steve Horel-Burns); and his siblings-in-law, Ray Packet (late Joanne), Val Packet (Ruth) and Ernie Packet (Donna).
He is survived by: his children, Matthew and Lorri Burns; his grandchildren, Matthew (Jaylene), Dalton, Emily and Brian Burns; his great grandchildren, Brian and Karlee; his grandchildren, Mike and Kirsty Burns; his great grandchildren, Kingston and Phoenix; his siblings, Leo (Karen Burns), Jerry (Linda Burns) and Margaret (Dieter Fossel); his siblings-in-law, Cecile and Herb Clements; Jim, Tara Burns, Rachel, Dave, Jennifer Burns, Madison, Kyleigh and Anne Marie Burns.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Inc. (4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia, ON N0N1R0). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Philip Church (415 King St, Petrolia, ON N0N1R0).
