She was predeceased by: her adoptive father Clifton; her husband George; and her brother Clifford. She is survived by: her children, Edward Hext (Ted) and Ruth McIlmoyle; her granddaughters, Sandy Gaskin (Jaime), Jennifer Hext, Michelle Xavier (Jason) and Kimberley; and her great grandchildren, Chloe and Molly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Inc. (4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia, ON N0N1R0). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the St. Paul's United Church (4169 Petrolia Line, Petrolia, ON N0N 1R0).
