She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Burgess and Evelyn Burgess. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Bird; her children, Robert Bird (Kim), Sheryl Ewart (Markus Kern), Janine Allsopp (David Allsopp) and Brent Bird (Sherri Karimi); her grandchildren, Marissa, Joshua, Cullen, Brittany, Tyler, Spencer, Carlin and Jahna; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Malin, Everly, Riley, Emilie and Juliette.
In lieu of flowers, one of Lois' favourite charities is Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors, and donations would be appreciated by her family.
