Rita Ovila Whitney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Ovila Whitney (Port Colborne, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood and Mary; and her brother Howard. She is survived by: her children, Andrew Whitney (Shelby), April Falardeau (Steve), Kristy Thibault (Kelly) and Lori Kovach; and her siblings, Marie and Richard. She is also survived by her grandchildren and by her other relatives.
