He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his parents, John Stevenett and Lena Stevenett; and his siblings, Grace Sider, William Stevenett and Charles Stevenett.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Merritt (Paul), Tom Stevenett (Cindy), Anne Kennie (Karl) and Doug Stevenett (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Joel Stevenett (Ashley), Lauren Merritt (Kyle), Hollie Stock (Peter), Amanda Cajucom (David), Geoffrey Merritt (Sara) and Samuel Stevenett.
Memorial donations may be made to the Leprosy Mission or the Gathering Place.
