He was predeceased by : his parents, John Fidlin and Grace Fidlin; and his siblings, Frank Fidlin, John Fidlin, Shirley Hurst and Gail Thompson.

He is survived by : his wife Lynda Barlow; and his siblings, Ron Fidlin (Colleen), Barbara Fidlin, June Jeffery and Jim Fidlin (Dianne). He is also survived by uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
