It is with sadness that the passing of Claire George William Hammond (Port Dover, Ontario) is shared. Claire, born on September 15, 1936, passed away on August 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hammond and Mary Hammond; his sister Marion Anstee; and his siblings-in-law, John Anstee, Madeleine DeVries and Jimmie Meade.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, Randy Hammond (Tamra), Elaine Huxley (Joe) and Janet Knechtel (Kent); his grandchildren, Robinson (Siyang), Nick, Carter and Cole; and his siblings-in-law, Ron DeVries and Ann Meade. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Marburg Hall (1345 Lynn Valley Rd, Port Dover, ON N0A1N1).
