She was predeceased by : her husband George; her daughter Ruth Bridgwater-Dodd; her granddaughter Robin Lockyer; her sons-in-law, Jere Smith, Doug Bridgwater, Ken Spencer and Ted Brown; her parents, William Cruise and Annie Cruise; and her siblings, Eleanor Smith (Allan) and George (Ruth).

She is survived by : her children, Pat Smith, Judy Brown and Sheila Chanda (Dave); her brother James Cruise; her son-in-law Rob Dodd; and her sister-in-law Peggy Burcham (late George).
