He was predeceased by : his sister Sheila Pearson; and his sister-in-law Joanne Wells. He is survived by : his sons, John and Dean; his stepdaughters, Betsy and Lisa; his granddaughter Elizabeth; his siblings, William Wells, Garry Wells and Vaughn Wells; his friend Glenn Pearson; his former life partner Sandy; and his wife Betty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions attendance at the Memorial Service will be by invitation by the family.
