He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilfred Gurney and Edith Gurney (Martin); and his brother Howard Gurney. He is survived by : his wife Margaret (Hildreth); his sister Dorothy Marshall (Gurney); his children, Charlotte (Dan O'Brien), Melinda Fenney, Joseph (JoAnne Gurney), Daniel Gurney and Darryl Gurney; his grandchildren, Jessica Foreman (Derek), Nicole O'Brien, Mark Gurney, Matthew Gurney and David Gurney; and his great grandchildren, Naomi, Magnolia, Lea, Macarthur and Ciara.
