He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Laurie (Chris Sirois) and Patrick (Linda); his grandchildren, Brady, Pierce and Benjamin; his sisters, Linda (Al Jaynes) and Joyce (Donald Smith); his nephews, Matt Smith, Chris Roppel, Jon Jaynes, Ryann Roppel and Mark Roppel; his niece Jenny Middlecamp; his brother Keith Roppel (Jean); his cousins, John Roppel, Ken Roppel, Tom Roppel, Herbert Henkenhaf and Bob Henkenhaf; his nieces, Alanna Medland, Kayla Harrington and Emma Harrington; Tom Harrington.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Port Elgin United Church (840 Bruce St, Port Elgin, ON N0H2C2). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Port Bruce Cemetery (Tiverton, Kincardine, ON N0G2T0).
