I feel blessed to have had a chance 2 years ago to spend those 5 days chatting and drinking pots of Chamomile tea with him and I feel blessed to have known him and had him in my life. “To Mairéad, Brian, Eimear and all Joe's family and friends. I was really sorry to hear about Joe;s passing. He was a fantasic uncle to me and fantastic great-uncle to Etain, Daragh and Ez. He was so gentle and kind and funny in an understated way. He was always there when things were sad or difficult with family here in Ireland. As soon as he was needed he would jump on a plane to Ireland and even Greece when his brother, sister, Mam or Dad needed. (rest of message follows next)”
