With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Esplen (Port Elgin, Ontario), who passed away on October 5, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Gordon Esplen; her parents, Joseph McInnes and Emma McInnes; her siblings, Gordon, Joseph, Jim, Margaret McInnes, Mary McInnes, Eva Grant (Clair), Emma Petteplace (Morley), Evelyn Dickison (Earl) and Bessie McKenzie (Alex); her siblings' children, Doug Layton and Marjorie McLennan; and her son-in-law Murray Hackett.

She is survived by: her child Judith Hackett; her grandchildren, Michael Moore (Lynn) and Jennifer Moore (Marcus); her great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Emma and Rowan; and her sibling's children, Marlene Deneau (Bill), Dianne Donaldson (Jim), Alda Futhey (John), Marilyn Layton and Don Petteplace (Sandy).
