He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Peart; his parents, Oren and Reta; his sister Lorna Ellis; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Luff, Brenda Peart and Pat Luff.
He is survived by: his children, Bev (Marie Stimson) of Regina, Saskatchewan, Bonnie Gardiner (Peter Reid) of Chatsworth and Tim of Cambridge; his brother Ross of Durham; and his siblings-in-law, Harvey Ellis, John Luff (Pauline), Peter Luff (Susan) and Lesley Luff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Zion Glenelg Community Cemetery, the Durham Food Bank, Chesley Hospital Foundation or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
