Bud will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honour Bud by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Bud is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Bud’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Judie; children: Kim Matwey (Terry) and Kerry Lynch (Glenda); grandchildren: Molly Matwey, Abby Matwey, Benjamin Lynch and Carson Lynch; parents: Cecil and Mona Lynch; brothers: Dick Lynch (Ann), Jim Lynch (the late Gillian), Raymond Lynch, Harry Lynch (Bea), Leon Lynch (Joan) and Frank Lynch (Liz); sister: Dette West (Bob); and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rushnell Funeral Home - Port Hope (103 Mill St N, Port Hope, ON L1A2T3). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Church (155 Walton St, Port Hope, ON L1A1N7).
In memory of Bud and in lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
