Clare touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Clare’s presence will be missed, the influence he had on others will remain. Those who knew him will carry forward memories that reflect his character and spirit.
He was predeceased by: his brother Albert (Marilyn); and his parents, Jean and Gordon William Franklin Sanderson of Port Hope. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Sanderson (Joe) and Scott Sanderson; his grandchildren, Thomas and Emma Baker; and his siblings, Leslie Sanderson and Phyllis Dupis (Pierre). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smiths Falls Golf & Country Club (125 Golf Club Rd, Smiths Falls, ON K7A4S5).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Clare's memory may be made to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation.
