He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon William Hill and Mary Louise Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Juanita (Port Hope); his children, Michael (Nancy), Joe (Dianne) and Mary (Corey); his grandchildren, Jess Kentner (Mark), Jenn McGuire (Justin), Julie Walton (Gary), Gord Hill (Maggie), Damon Andrews (Kathy) and Scott Harron; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Nicholas, Lily, Evie, Gary Junior, William, Finn, Theo, Penny and Mackenzie.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (155 Walton St, Port Hope, ON L1A1N7). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1J1). A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
