He was predeceased by: his son David; his parents, Harold Gellatly and Pearl Gellatly (Eagle); and his siblings, Gwen, Audrey, Shirley, Connie, Jim, Reg and Bruce.

He is survived by: his wife Marion Gellatly (Eckel); his daughters, Karen Bruce (Larry Lee), Jane Burgess (Rob Burgess) and Shelagh Ois (Harald Ois); his grandchildren, Derek, Cameron, Emily, Brock, Carter and Riley; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Jesse, Alex and Charlotte.
