Gerald Elder Obituary
We announce the death of Gerald Elder (Port Hope, Ontario), who passed away on October 24, 2026, at the age of 65. Gerald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Gerald will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Gerald will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Gerald’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorne Elder and Leona Elder. He is survived by: his brothers, Ivan (Mary), Kenny (Marlene) and Foster (Bernadette); and his pet Daisy.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Port Hope Royal Canadian Legion (29a Thomas St, Port Hope, ON L1A3V9).
