He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Elizabeth Purcell; and his grandson Matthew Carr. He is survived by: his sons, Ian and David (Percy); and his grandchildren, James, Justin, Jeffrey Purcell, Sarah and Luke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
