John Arthur Armstrong Obituary

John Arthur Armstrong passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. He was a former resident of Port Perry Place Long-Term Care Home in Port Perry for the last eight years. Beloved son of Annelee and the late Gord Armstrong. Cherished brother to Kim and Les Sheehy and Rod and Sandra Armstrong. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Angie and Paul Ransberry- their children Julia, Alanna and Blake; Jennifer and Joel Smith, their children Lily and Ivy; Joshua and Jamie Armstrong and their daughter Sophie; Kaleigh Armstrong. John's love of animals led him to a career working with the City of Toronto; Animal Control Services for over 30 years. John had a wonderful sense of humour and his love of cars led to lively discussions at any family gathering.

A graveside service will be held at the Old Stone Church in Beaverton, Ontario on June 17, 2026 at 2pm . In lieu of flowers please make a donation in John's memory to a local Animal Shelter.
