With sadness, we share the passing of James Alan Douglas McKinnon (Port Rowan, Ontario). James Alan, born on February 15, 1936, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinnon and Kathleen McKinnon (Moore); his parents-in-law, Thelma and Jack Greenfield; his siblings, Dorothy Van Bree (Chris), Barbara Cailleux and Jim McKinnon; and his brother-in-law Mike Greenfield (Merilyn).
He is survived by: his close friend Jack Broadfoot; his wife Marg; his children, Karen Felkar (Brian) and Bill McKinnon (Liz); his grandchildren, Derrick Felkar (Sasha) and Bailey Green (Duncan); his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Caden and Maverick Felkar; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Cailleaux, Lynda Beecroft, Dave Greenfield (Janice) and Karen McKinnon. He is also survived by extended family and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Beaty Room at the Thamesford Public Library.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Doug's memory to the Sakura House would be greatly appreciated by the family.
