He was predeceased by : his parents, James Rutledge and Dorothy Rutledge (Carl); and his sisters, Margaret Rutledge and Marjorie Countryman. He is survived by : his spouse Celia "Toots" Rutledge (Armstrong); and his children, Margaret (Bob Cronmiller) of Walsingham, Marlene (Ronny Ledoux) of Straffordville and John (Helen) of Clear Creek. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.
