He was predeceased by : his parents, Gordon West and Ruth West (Butcher); his brother Bill; and his nephew Mitchell Messervey. He is survived by : his wife Rose Barber; his children, Shawn, Amanda of Guelph, Terra and Malcolm; his grandchildren, Hailey, Tysin and Malcolm Jr. Mark; and his siblings, Keith (Jessie), Cathy Cunningham of Simcoe, Maryanne (Mike Cornell), John (Clara), Brenda (Dennis Hrycun), Barb (George Xidos) and Diane of Simcoe. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
