He was predeceased by: his parents, Ron Helmer and Ruth [Price] Helmer; his parents-in-law, Charlie and Edna Moore; and his brothers-in-law, George Gates and Gary Ferris.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his son Mike [Katelyn]; his granddaughters, Charlotte and Isabella; his children, Malia, Alaya, Mikah, Izaak and Shepard; his cousin Joan Cain; his nephew Dave [Nic] Ferris; his great-nephews, Zach, Phillip and Josh; his niece Lori Ferris; Joan, Linda and Janice.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home (36 Front Rd, Port Rowan, ON N0E1M0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the St. Williams Community Centre (80 Queen St W, St Williams, ON N0E1P0).
If so desired donations may be made to Norfolk General Hospital Foundation, Mount Pleasant Cemetery or Walsingham Senators Minor Baseball.
