It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hilda Katarina Apfelbeck of Port Stanley, Ontario, born in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan, who passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George Flohr and Susanna Flohr; her siblings, Frank Flohr, Eva Tremain, Susan Baker, Anna Wiles and Margaret Massey; and her son Daniel Apfelbeck of Port Stanley.

She is survived by : her sister Helen Peters; her husband Harold Apfelbeck (Hank); and her children, Deborah Tadema (Harold) of Bayfield, Michael Apfelbeck of Bayfield, Cathy Apfelbeck of St. Thomas, Robert Apfelbeck of St. Catherines and Randy Apfelbeck of St. Thomas.
