It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bette Fay Barnes of Portland, Ontario, who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Guy Barnes; her son Danny Slack; and her siblings, Joseph, Frank, Gordon Caird, Edith MacKinnon, Phyllis McLean and Frances Jacques.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Slack of Brockville, Tammy Bartel (Kevin) of Arnprior and Randy Slack (Sandy) of Smiths Falls; her sister Myrtle Johnston of Wyevale; and her grandsons, Emerson and Nathan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
