He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rose Grasser (late Bill), Clarence Hummel, Eleanor Oshell-Duncan (late Joe Oshell), Greg Hummel (late Grace), Jerome Hummel, Lawrence Hummel, Florence Hewitt (late Bill), Bernice Brunne (late Harry), Gloria Stephens (late Bernard) and Cletus Hummel (late Joan).

He is survived by: his children, Terry Lynn Rick of Newmarket, Ted (Tammi) of Trout Creek, Jewel (Brendon) of Powassan and Dawn Hummel (Jay) of Barrie; his grandchildren, Tyson, Tianna, Rachel, Erin, Jamie, Jude and Charlie; his siblings, Willard Hummel (Marie) of Trout Creek and Margaret Van Mierlo (late Bernard) of Trout Creek; and his aunt Bakery.
