He is survived by : his wife Sharon (Bartraw-Samuels) of Powassan; his children, Daniel Smith (Elizabeth) of Cold Lake, AB, Brenda Lett (Allan) of Sudbury, Shane Smith of Barrie, Lori-Ann Smith of South River, Brian Smith (Rhonda) of Wasaga Beach and Debbie Brown (Greg) of Cranbrook, BC; his grandchildren, Matthew, Kaleigh, Alexis, Tyler, Alexander, Tia, Jordon, Shailynn, Madisynn, Cole, Ellie, Caitlin, Kylee, Jared, Rachel, Camden, Eve and Brody; and his siblings, Don Smith (Bernadette) of Cobourg, Mervin Smith (Betty-Ann) of Mississauga, Janice Brownrigg (William) of Sundridge, Michael Smith (Peggy) of Emsdale, Frances Purdon (Ed) of North Bay, William Smith (Susan) of Sundridge and Howard Smith.
