Leta Matilda Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2021, Leta Matilda Smith of Powassan, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband George W. Smith; her son Carmon Smith; and her siblings, Erva Gorham (Bert), Orland Clapperton (Enid) and Marion Bain (Ernie).

She is survived by: her son Rick Smith (Susan) of Loring; her daughter-in-law Sharon Smith of Loring; and her siblings, Gloria Gillette (late Joe) of Alberta, Harley Clapperton (late Iris) of Alberta, Warren Clapperton (Hazel) of South River and Derrill Clapperton (late Betty) of Loring. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

COVID-19 protocols will be enforced for both visiting and funeral; masks must be worn and physical distancing maintained.
