He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Boyd and Margaret Boyd (Skakum). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Boyd; his children, Jennifer Merkley (Duncan Chambers) and Allison Boyd (Tom Thomson); his grandchildren, Jade Merkley (Brad Dalke), Brody Thomson (Avery Johnston) and Ryan Jenkinson; his siblings, Carol Blaszczyk, Keitha Boyd (Larry Flemming) and Joanne Strachan (Terry); and his siblings-in-law, Violet (Lloyd Votary), Joy Clow, Laura St. Amand, Kathryn Ramdeen (John), Robert (Cecilia), Hugh (Fern), Nancy, Mary Tetlock (Rod) and Carol Rollich (Randy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
