She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Burnside; her parents, Ernest Arnold Porter and Mary Jane Porter; and her siblings, Winnifred James, Gwen Gannon (Jack), Ruby Huff (Bill), Alta Carr (Frank), Gord Porter and Roy Alton Porter.
She is survived by: her son Steven (Tara); her grandchildren, Ryan and Nathan; her great grandchild Brent (Tanya); her grandchildren, Devin, Zachary and Olivia; her siblings-in-law, Edna Porter, Carol Donaldson (Greg) and Tom Burnside (Helen); her nieces, Ellen Simzer, Nancy Carr, Amanda LaVecque and Ashley Curtis; her sister-in-law Sharon Burnside; and her friend Barb Black. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society and BGH Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged.
