He was predeceased by : his parents, Ludwig Biedler and Matilda Biedler. He is survived by : his wife Selma Wonnick; his children, Cindy (Bob), Butch (Janice), Connie (Hugh), Owen, Lori and Karen (Lee); his grandchildren, Colin, Erin, Robyn, Craig, Ashley, Janine, Hugh Jr., Alexis, Madison, Megan, Makenzie and Nicole; and his sister Audrey Drager. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, and by numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church (231 Hammell Rd, Red Lake, ON P0V2M0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
