With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elaine Heins (Renfrew, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elaine Heins to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Hunter and Margaret Hunter. She is survived by: her children, Jeff (Michelle), Thane, Paul (Stephanie) and Jay (Tanya); her grandchildren, Westin, Lauren, Kiya, Dayna, Robin, Katie, Chris and Samuel; her great grandchildren, Ava, Leia, Zoey and Lucas; and her friend Grace Rutz.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation.

“Mrs. Heins was our neighbour in Gatineau for many years. I remember my mom frantically asking for her advice when our sister Kendra was very sick with a high temperature as a baby. Mrs. Heins came right over and with her care Kendra improved. That was over 50 years ago but I remember it well. Our condolences to Jeff, Thane, Paul, & Jay. From Greg, Bridget, and Kendra Kehoe”
