It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther MacMillan (Renfrew, Ontario), who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Esther MacMillan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olive Jackson and John Jackson of Cobden; her brothers, Archie (Agnes), Albert, Robert and Adrian; and her parents-in-law, Gordon and Jessie MacMillan.
She is survived by: her aunt Esther; her uncle Tom Williams; her in-laws, Jessie and Gordon MacMillan; her son T. Williams Plumbing; her grandson Jimmy; her daughters-in-law, Laurie and Carrie; her friends, Heather Hill, Kinga MacAskill, Colleen Gibbons, Kelly Barr and Roxanne Nolan; her husband James "Jim" MacMillan; her sons, Gord MacMillan (Laurie McGregor) and Tom MacMillan (Kerri Patterson); her grandchildren, Hannah MacMillan, James "Jimmy" MacMillan, Jordan MacMillan (Melissa Hughes) and Hillary Riopelle (Jesse); her great grandchildren, Scotlyn, Poppy, Walter MacMillan, Bridget MacMillan, Rayah and Tabar Riopelle; her sister Elizabeth Schroeder; and her sibling's children, Sarah Schroeder, Brent and Paul Jackson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Norway Bay United Cemetery c/o 20 Wharf Road Bristol, Quebec J0X 1G0 or Renfrew Victoria Hospital Recreation Department in Esther's memory.
