He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Johnston and Mabel Johnston (Wall). He is survived by: his wife Wilda (Bernier); his sons, Kevin (Tonya) and Richard (Leesa); his grandchildren, Brooke, Tyson and Jaina Johnston; his siblings, Gwen Gibson (Eric), Glenn Johnston (Beverley) and Clifford Johnston (Catherine); his siblings-in-law, Lionel Bernier, Anita Kolatschek (Karl), Andre (Ruth), Jean Paul (Peter), Simon Bernier, Colette Yantha (Greg) and Suzanne Stirling (Don); and his nephew Harris.
