He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda Ogden; his granddaughter Cara; and his parents, Lottie Ogden (Thibadeau) and Percy Ogden. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Terry Blimkie (Chit), Brenda Sparling (Peter), Melvin Blimkie (Jill), Jeff Blimkie (Christine) and Lynn Dykeman (late Robert); his grandchildren, Paul Blimkie (Natasha), Dr. Leslie Blimkie (Jason Tomczyk), Kyle Ferguson (Lauren), Nick Sparling, Julie Kelly (Mike), Melanie Irving (Ryan), Brittany Byce (Brent), Joshua Parsons, Kieran, Conor, Emma, Blair, Holden, Jovie, Ryker, Isla, Scarlett, Xavier, Colby and Callie; and his brother-in-law Richard Hill.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Zohr Family Funeral Home -Renfrew (85 Munroe Ave E, Renfrew, ON K7V3K2). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Renfrew Presbyterian Church (460 Raglan St S, Renfrew, ON K7V1R8). A reception was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
