He was predeceased by: his wife Elisa (Lisa Shields); his parents, Lionel Hicks and Lillian Hicks; and his in-laws, Homer and Marion Shields (Hilliard).
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Holmes (Hicks) and Peter Hicks; his grandsons, Josh, Max Holmes, Allan John, Ben, Sam, Lucas and Daniel Hicks; his siblings, Janice, James (Dawn), Wesley (Kim) and Lionel (Liz); and his sister-in-law Marg Isbester (Mac).
