He was predeceased by : his daughter Colleen Rowat; his parents, Michael Ritz and Catherine Ritz; and his siblings, Frances Cobus, Audrey Ritz, Leo, Herb and Larry.

He is survived by : his spouse Merle McNulty; his sons, David (Tami) and Doug (Carolyn); his son-in-law Dave Rowat (Mary-Lise); his grandchildren, Jonathan (Meagan), Caitlin (Matt Gaudreau), Miles Rowat, Julia Rowat (Zach Waller) and Simon Rowat (Maddy); and his sisters-in-law, Maureen and Bernadette.

Donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Groves Park Lodge Auxiliary.
