He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Laurie (Peter Sarrasin) and Lorne (Kim Mills); his grandchildren, Forrest Sarrasin (Estelle), Sasha Doughtery (Nick), Shannon Blakely (Jon) and Spencer Powell (Morgan); his great grandchildren, Riley, Raven, Rayna Doughtery, Lillith and Lenora Blakely; his siblings, Susan Powell of St. Thomas, ON, Malcolm Powell (Liz) of Ashton, ON and Bill Powell (Debbie) of Duncan, BC; his siblings-in-law, Joan Powell, Fred Sarrasin, Bob Sarrasin (Sue) and Margaret Blake; his wife Ruthie Sarrasin; his parents, Bert Powell and Pansy Powell; his siblings, Morven, Ronald, Donald, David, Ross, Tom and Roberta; and his sister-in-law Rita Sarrasin. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Waterville United Church.
