We announce the death of Kenneth William Hanson (Richards Landing, Ontario), who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 103. He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Whitelaw; his brothers, Ed (late Grace) and Ron (late Alison); his niece Doreen (late Charlie); and his parent Scarborough Bluffs.
He is survived by: his son Ron; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ailsa (late Larry) and Lesley (Rodney); his nephews, Fred (late Deanna), David (Janice) and Bruce (Janet); his granddaughters, Caroline (Jamie), Alison (George) and Jane (Tim); his great grandchildren, Edward, Jack, Anna, Isabella and Eloise; and his friend Ken.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the St. Joseph Township Cemetery. A reception was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Harmony St. Mark's United Church (1176 Richards St, Richards Landing, ON P0R1J0).
In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully received by the church (by cheque to Harmony St. Mark's United Church or e-transfer to [email protected]) or by the PSW Program (cheques to Township of St. Joseph, with PSW Program in the memo line).
