He was predeceased by: his parents, James Joseph Cox and Winnifred Cox. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Cox; his children, Neal Cox and Janet (Rick Sanderson); his granddaughters, Hailey (Matthew) and Hannah Sanderson; and his siblings, Joan Sheppard (Alf), Ron, Jim and Lionel (Peggy).
