He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Hunter (Donaldson); his stepmother Antje Hunter (Stahlmann); and his grandparents, Ralph, Evelene Hunter, Thirza and David Donaldson.
He is survived by: his wife Paulette; his children, Brontae (Samuel) and Landon (Brooke); his sibling Kerry-Lynne Farrish (Doug); his siblings-in-law, Danielle Livingston (Kirk) and Chad Lippert (Melissa); his nephew Brody (Taylor); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Easton, Maverick, Cannon, Cole (Shawnee), Keiffer Farrish, Zane (Tayler), Kloe Livingston, Crosley and Cormick Lippert; his father Murray Hunter (Annetta); his parents-in-law, Rod and Elaine Lippert; his pet Oakley; his caregivers, Marion Finos and Butsaba Chansuwan; and his aunt Kate Hunter.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Ontario Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (OPWSA) in honour of Mike's niece, Kloe; the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada in honour of his mom, Helen; the Alzheimer Society of Canada in honour of his stepmother, Antje; or the Pine River United Church, a faith community very close to Mike's heart.
